Edison, NJ, USA -- May 02, 2005 -- Lucent Bell Labs license HttpRobot technologies
EaiBridge, a leading software provider specializing in the enterprise application simulation and enterprise application integration, announced today that it has reached an agreement to license Lucent Bell Labs its HttpRobot technoloties and source. Lucent will use HttpRobot as a base to develop a fully automatic regression testing tool for its Web-based applications.

EaiBridge, a leading software provider specializing in the enterprise application simulation and enterprise application integration, announced today the availability of HTTP ROBOT 1.14 HTTP Robot (HttpRobot) is a state of the art, extensible, automatic regression testing tool for web-based applications.
HttpRobot works as an HTTP/HTTPS proxy server that logs requests/ responses between browsers and Web applications during the recording mode. It can play back the requests to simulate one or multiple clients and performs diff operations to detect discrepancies between the testing and the baselined versions. Built-in and application-defined diff operators can be used to detect discrepancies.
HttpRobot is flexible, extensible but surprisingly easy to be used. It offers an extensible interface that can include an application specific plug-in during the recording and player modes. An application that uses dynamic parameters and/ or URLS can be easily simulated by this product. And unlike other similar products, no scripting is needed by end users to use the product.

CAST (CORBA Application Simulator and regression/ load tester) is a CORBA simulator that can simulate any CORBA-based applications, for both the client and server. The biggest difference between CAST and other competitors is that CAST is data-file-based (in XML format), instead of script-based, though an application-specific data handling module can be added to handle extremely dynamic cases when needed. The data files needed to drive CAST can be easily copied from real systems or generated using a GUI Wizard based on your IDL. It eliminates up to 99% of setup and programming time when compared to other simulator approaches. Besides, the XML data files can be easily modified by non-programmers using a text or XML editor.
